Construction Technology of Vibrating Grizzly Feeder Installation

Introduction to Vibrating Grizzly Feeders

Vibrating grizzly feeders are feeder equipments that effectively combine apron feeders and screening equipments. They have dual functions of screening and conveying and are suitable for mining, building materials, and chemical industries. They are particularly suitable for feeding before the coarse crushing of ferrous and non-ferrous metal ores and construction stones. Due to the limitations of grain size and output of the materials fed to the vibrating grizzly feeder and crusher device, they are prone to blockages and failures. Therefore, proper process configuration is key to fully utilizing the vibrating grizzly feeder.

Construction Techniques and Requirements for Installing Vibrating Grizzly Feeders

  • An automatic hopper is used to dump ores into the ore bin, and a heavy-duty grate is installed at the top of the ore bin. The gap of the grate is the maximum particle size that the vibrating grizzly feeder can handle.

  • There is a certain distance between the ore bin's feed inlet and the outlet at the bottom. This distance allows the formation of a certain accumulation of material at the bottom after the ore bin receives material, providing cushioning for falling materials to reduce the impact on the vibrating grizzly feeder. The distance between the top surface of the ore bin's outlet and the bottom surface of the vibrating grizzly feeder trough should be about 1.5 times larger than the maximum feed particle size.

  • Since the distance between the vibrating grizzly feeder's trough surface and the top surface of the trough frame is less than the maximum particle size of the material, an ore bin chute must be provided to prevent material from spilling over the trough frame.

  • When designing the bars of the vibrating grizzly feeder, a certain gap between the bars must be ensured. The gap between the bars should be smaller than the maximum particle size of the material after being crushed by the crusher.

  • There must be a certain process drop between the bar surface and the crusher feed inlet. Since the width of the vibrating grizzly feeder trough is generally larger than the width of the crusher inlet, a receiving chute for the crusher is installed between the vibrating grizzly feeder and the crusher. The chute is larger at the top and slightly smaller at the bottom to prevent material blockage.

  • An iron chain with a fixed head is set at the crusher device's feed inlet to reduce the impact of the material on the crusher.

  • The vibrating grizzly feeder is equipped with an under-screen chute, and the crusher device is equipped with a discharge chute to feed the material to the same belt conveyor.

Precautions

When configuring the process of the vibrating grizzly feeder, a grate must be installed at the top of the ore bin. There's a certain distance between the ore bin's feed inlet and the outlet at the bottom. An ore bin chute must be set at the bottom of the ore bin and so on. These are critical for the process configuration of the vibrating grizzly feeder. Only by organically combining each part can the vibrating grizzly feeder be fully utilized.
