Common Faults And Solutions for Double-toothed Roll Crushers

The common faults and treatment methods of double-toothed roller crusher are as follows.

1. The tooth roller is blocked

Fault manifestations:

The material accumulates between the toothed rollers and cannot be discharged properly, resulting in the shutdown of the equipment.

Causes:

· The feed speed is too fast and exceeds the processing capacity of the equipment.

· The feed size is too large and beyond the allowable range of the equipment.

· The material has high humidity and is easy to adhere to the toothed roller.

Solution:

· Stop the machine immediately to clean up the clogged material. You can use a tool to remove the blockage from the inlet or outlet, pay attention to safety, and avoid being smashed by the material.

· Adjust the feed rate to match the processing capacity of the equipment. This can be achieved by controlling the speed of the feeding equipment or adjusting the opening of the feeding valve.

· Screening of the feed material to ensure that the feed particle size meets the requirements of the equipment. Equipment such as vibrating screens can be installed to pre-treat the feed.

· If the humidity of the material is high, you can take measures such as drying to reduce the humidity of the material, or install an anti-adhesion device on the equipment.

2. The toothed roller wears out too quickly

Fault manifestations:

The degree of wear of the toothed rollers is beyond the normal range, resulting in a decrease in the crushing effect and an increase in the energy consumption of the equipment.

Causes:

· The material of the toothed roller is not suitable, the hardness is not enough, and the wear resistance is poor.

· The hardness of the crushed material is high, and the wear of the toothed roller is greater.

· The equipment has been running for too long and has not been maintained and replaced in a timely manner.

Solution:

· Replace the toothed roller of suitable material, choose materials with high hardness and good wear resistance, such as high manganese steel, etc.

· Pre-treatment of the crushed material to reduce the hardness of the material, or the use of multi-stage crushing to reduce the wear of the toothed roller.

· Formulate a reasonable equipment maintenance plan, regularly check the wear of the toothed rollers, and replace the seriously worn toothed rollers in time.

3. Failure of transmission components

Fault manifestations:

Abnormal noise, vibration or heat generation of the transmission components prevents the equipment from operating properly.

Causes:

· Improper installation of transmission parts, such as improper belt tension, poor gear meshing, etc.

· Poor lubrication of transmission components, resulting in increased wear.

· Damage to transmission parts, such as broken belts, worn gears, etc.

Solution:

· Check the installation of the transmission parts, adjust the belt tension, and make sure the gears mesh well.

· Lubricate the transmission components, select the appropriate oil or grease, and fill according to the specified filling volume and filling cycle.

· If the transmission parts are damaged, the damaged parts should be replaced in time, such as replacing belts, gears, etc.

4. Electrical faults

Fault manifestations:

The equipment fails to start, the motor heats up, the electrical control system fails, etc.

Causes:

· Power failure, such as unstable voltage, lack of phase, etc.

· Motor faults, such as short circuits, open circuits, etc.

· Electrical control system failure, such as controller damage, sensor failure, etc.

Solution:

· Check the power supply to ensure that the voltage is stable and the power supply is normal. If there is a problem with the power supply, you should contact the power department for repair in time.

· Inspect the motor, determine the cause of the motor failure, and repair or replace it accordingly.

· Check the electrical control system, find the fault point and fix it. If the controller is damaged, the controller should be replaced in time; If the sensor fails, it should be replaced in a timely manner.

5. Bearing failure

Fault manifestations:

The bearing temperature is too high, the noise is too loud, the vibration is intensified, etc.

Causes:

· Poor lubrication of the bearing, resulting in increased wear.

· Improper bearing installation, such as too large or too small clearance, not centered.

· Crushed material enters the bearing, resulting in damage to the bearing.

Solution:

· Lubricate the bearings, select the appropriate oil or grease, and fill according to the specified filling volume and filling cycle.

· Check the installation of the bearing, adjust the bearing clearance, and ensure that the bearing is installed correctly.

· If the crushed material enters the bearing, the bearing should be cleaned in time and the damage to the bearing should be checked. If the bearing is seriously damaged, the bearing should be replaced in time.
